Merrill Schneider

Merrill Schneider is the firm’s senior partner.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1973 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oregon in 1977.  He was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1977 and has practiced law full time for 34 years.  Mr. Schneider’s entire legal career has been spent litigating cases. He has personally tried thousands of Social Security, Worker’s Compensation and Personal Injury cases and has managed and participated in the preparation of many thousands more.  His skill, his astuteness with respect to legal issues and human nature, his determination and drive, and his willingness to step into the next challenge again and again are at the source of the firm’s success.  Rather than focusing on a few big cases, he has focused the firm’s practice on helping an enormous number of people.  The only thing more rewarding for him than winning is a thank you from a client.  Mr. Schneider also has extensive public speaking experience.  He has given lectures and seminars on topics ranging from motivation, productivity, and accomplishment to the economics and nuts and bolts of law practice.  In addition to being an avid swimmer and skier, Merrill in his 60th year has taken on both marathon running and bicycle commuting.
